Ross Aiken BA LLB I love the city of Tauranga and my community here at Mount Maunganui. It has been my stomping ground since I was five years of age! All my school life was spent here before heading north for a season to attend Law School at the University of Auckland. After more study, interspersed with some overseas travel, I graduated with degrees in both Law and Politics in 1990. Within two years I was back in the Bay where I worked in two local law firms before launching the mobile lawyer in 2000. Professionally, I have benefited from a real breadth of experience in my legal career. Initially cutting my teeth in Auckland court rooms I have since developed a specialty in property law here in Tauranga. I consider it a privilege to be entrusted by both private and business clients alike with the strategic role of advising them concerning all major property transactions. These days my niche areas are in relationship property and asset protection using family trusts. |
Katy Toker BA LLB I am a relative new comer to the Tauranga area, being raised in Nelson. After finishing my school years there, I headed south to the University of Otago where I completed a BA in English and then studied Law. I enjoyed my time in Dunedin, which is a fantastic city for students, and also spent a summer in North Queensland working as a “Hostie” on a dive boat. While a student, I worked as a volunteer at the Community Law Centre, advising a wide range of people on anything from tenancy issues to relationship property queries. Following Graduation and my admission to the Bar in 2002, I headed north, with my partner, to Mount Maunganui. During 2003, I worked locally for a credit management company, concentrating on collections and civil enforcement. Since joining Ross at the mobile lawyer, in February 2004, my role is to look after all residential transactions – the conveyancing for house sales, purchases & refinances. I also ensure that all our clients are properly advised of the implications, for each of them, of the new Property (Relationships) Act. |
